Is the Protective Services Pricing available on every VACAYA trip?
At this time, Protective Services pricing is only available on VACAYA big-ship programs.
Am I eligible?
To qualify for Protective Services pricing, one member of your party must be:
- Military: All active and retired members of all branches of the military qualify for this offer. That includes service members of the U.S. Coast Guard, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), National Guard, Reservists, and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
- First Responders: A first responder is a person who has received special training to be among the first to arrive, respond, and assist at the scene of an emergency such as an accident, natural disaster, or terrorist attack, and has received special training for this. This includes Police, Sheriffs and Deputies, State Troopers, Firefighters, EMTs/Paramedics, 911 Dispatchers, Correctional Officers, and Federal Law Enforcement.
- Front-line Healthcare and Emergency Room Workers: If you’re a nurse, doctor, or other healthcare worker on the front lines, we’d love to welcome you to VACAYA and give you a week of escape.
How do you know I’m in Protective Services?
We keep it simple:
- Snap a photo of the front and back of your current government or agency ID.
- Email your full legal name, date of birth, telephone number, the name of the vacation you’d like to join, and the photo of your ID to info@myvacaya.com.
- Once received, VACAYA’s V Team vacation planners will verify your service and reach out to you to finalize your reservation.
What is the Protective Services Pricing?
It’s $200 off per qualified protective service member on any qualifying stateroom, excluding suites.
I didn’t discover the offer until after I paid in full for my reservation. What now?
Sadly, we’re only able to credit your reservation before it’s been paid in full.
What if my travel companion isn’t in Protective Services? Do they get the special pricing, too?
The discount only applies to the protective service member(s) in the stateroom.
What if I’m traveling alone?
All shipboard rooms are based on double occupancy, so if you wanted a stateroom all to yourself, you’d pay for the entire room, plus port charges once, and gratuities twice.
How do I receive the Protective Services pricing?
Once we confirm your eligibility, we’ll email you to let you know you’re good to go and we’ll set up a date/time to complete your booking with one of our V Team members!
Can I make a Protective Services reservation through a travel agent?
The VACAYA Protective Services pricing is available for direct-booked guests only. Although Travel Agents may request the discount for one of their clients, these bookings are non-commissionable.
- You must be an eligible member of Protective Services at time of booking to receive our special pricing.
- The name on your Protective Services ID and the name on your reservation must match.
- Not combinable with any other promotional offer.
- The VACAYA Protective Services pricing is available for direct-booked guests only. Although Travel Agents may request this special pricing for one of their clients, these bookings are non-commissionable. If the special pricing request is made after the Travel Agent has finalized the booking, the guest will be asked to communicate with their travel agent that they’d like to remove the travel agent from the booking so that the discount may be added to the booking.
- The number of available Protective Services slots is limited per vacation and are on a first come, first served basis.
