Love is Love

VACAYA is honored that Josh Rimer, Mr. Gay Canada 2019, has decided to celebrate his honeymoon on our New Orleans Cruise 2021 after having postponed his honeymoon on our 2020 Lisbon Pride Cruise. If you didn’t see Josh’s viral video that started it all, you can view that on his YouTube page. Here’s a VIDEO that summarizes Josh’s recent experience with discrimination and how Hilton and VACAYA are helping Josh and his fiancé find the silver lining.

We’re thrilled to join Hilton in celebrating the love between Josh and Heath because we believe that together we can shine a brighter light on the work we still have left to do to reach equality. VACAYA was built on the belief that ‘love is love’ and that we’re all deserving of celebrating milestones in a friendly, judgment-free environment.

To celebrate the love between these two beautiful souls, we’re inviting everyone to join Josh and his future husband as we explore New Orleans and the mighty Mississippi River together.

JOSH’S THOUGHTS ON VACAYA

As Mr. Gay Canada 2019, Josh has become an experienced traveler. Here’s what he had to say after he joined VACAYA on our Inaugural Ptown cruise.

“More and more I’m realizing how much the people I meet and spend time with when I’m traveling are what really can take a trip from good to awesome. If you go with (and/or meet) other travelers who have similar interests, are fun to be around, make you laugh, or even push you outside of your comfort zone, it can improve your experience so much. I knew a few people on the VACAYA cruise who I’d had a great time traveling with in the past and I also made some great new friends on board who I can’t wait to travel with again in the future! I also have some more solo travel coming up and I hope I can be lucky enough to meet more people like them during those trips. ?”

“Getting to meet David Foster and Katharine McPhee was pretty dang cool! I’m sure they were just as excited to meet Mr. Gay Canada though.”

“One of the great things about going on a cruise is how you get to see multiple destinations in one trip. I went for a boat ride in St. John, New Brunswick one day and the next day I went for a bike ride in Bar Harbor, Maine! Pretty cool to be able to do that and sleep/eat/party on the ship in between.”
