FEB 15-23, 2022

Our journey to Seychelles begins in:

Luxe is grand, refined, bold, intimate, calm, exotic, cool, treasured

The Vacayans are hard at work planning each and every detail of this amazing cruise. And of course, we’re super excited to share many of those details with you along the way. As we have new information to share, you’ll find it here.

We’ll also house an email archive on this page, too. This archive will feature all the trip-specific communications we have with you throughout your pre-cruise experience with us. That way, if you happen to lose a general email somewhere along the way, you’ll be able to find it right here.

And from party themes and entertainment previews, VACAYA’s mission is to give you everything you need with plenty of time to ensure a totally stress-free experience. Get ready for your vacaya!

We’re often asked, “What should we expect from a VACAYA Luxe experience?” Our Luxe vacations are an unapologetically exclusive celebration of the wonders of our planet – welcoming to all, of course, but built for discerning travelers seeking intimate experiences, splendid accommodations, and unparalleled service. They’ll reach the far corners of the globe – giving VACAYA guests an opportunity to expand their horizons in completely new ways.

The VACAYA Luxe rhythm is… Bold. Refined. Intimate. Exotic. Treasured. Calm. Cool. Grand. A chance to live life to the absolute fullest.

The currency of the Seychelles is the Rupee (SCR), but visitors can also pay in US Dollars or Euros. The exchange rate as of March 2021 is:

1 Rupee = 0.05 US Dollar

1 Rupee = 0.04 Euro

1 US Dollar = 21.22 Rupee

1 Euro = 24.97 Rupee

In Seychelles, you are required by law to pay exclusively in a common foreign currency. Therefore, all the costs that you incur, such as accommodation charges, car rental costs, entrance fees for national parks, diving or chartered boat expenses, need to be paid in US Dollars or Euros. Typically, payments can also be made via credit cards. Taxi and restaurant bills that are not directly related to your accommodation, must be paid in local currency or a commonly used foreign currency. Seychelles Rupees are accepted only at local markets, shops, and nightclubs.

Although most international currencies are likely to be accepted, it is best to carry US Dollars or Euros with you. Access, American Express, MasterCard, and Visa are widely accepted, with limited use of Diners Club cards. You will find that ATMs are readily available in Mahe and Praslin. Exchange facilities are available at the airport banks as well as at regular banks, which can be found throughout the major islands. Keep your original currency exchange receipts so you can use them to re-exchange currency when departing.

All emails to our Booked Guests will be available here.

March 25, 2021 – Recommended Hotels & Delta Discounts

We’ve partnered with the Hilton Seychelles Group to offer their 3 fabulous properties at a discount to you. You’ll get the Best Available Rate at time of booking with a small percentage taken off the rate, ensuring you get the best possible rate when booking through VACAYA.

Each hotel has its own level of luxury and charm, but all are wonderful properties for your pre- or post-cruise stays. You can explore the hotels using the following booking links:

When booking your hotel, select BOOK A ROOM on the landing page and then EDIT STAY (on the right-hand side) to put in your desired travel dates.

The island of Mahé has abundant transportation options and each property can assist you with a car service to the dock in Victoria (exact position still TBD) on February 15. And of course you can simply take a taxi from the airport (SEZ) to each hotel when you arrive in Victoria.

We of course recommend coming into Seychelles earlier than our embarkation date of February 15, 2022. Traveling this far, you don’t want to risk the chance of something happening with your flight that could potentially cause you to miss the ship. In a worst-case scenario where you did miss the ship, know that traveling between the Seychelles islands can be done relatively easily, but don’t let that be the start of your vacation. Instead, with the day before our cruise being Valentine’s Day, we highly recommend coming into Seychelles earlier than our sail date and enjoying this incredible paradise. Coming in early will also give your body a chance to catch up with the time differences, ensuring you’re fresh and ready to go when we board Le Bougainville.

*Silhouette Island is a short helicopter or boat ride to/from Mahé.

For those guests on our post-cruise South Africa extension, all the important details regarding this portion of the trip can be found here.
