Sergio is known as The Scruffy Italian and will be our host for the week. He was born and raised in Italy, so his knowledge of the country is immense and his passion even bigger. He’s a lover of Italy’s la dolce vita: the azure sea, enchanting beaches, authentic Italian food, and great wine. Sergio’s also passionate about sailing, gay beaches, gay cruises, and pretty much everything in our rainbow world. This all makes him an amazing host who will give us a true insider’s perspective of his magical land.

Welcome to Naples! A private transfer will drive you from the airport to your hotel in Sorrento. The charming city of Sorrento is world-famous for its romantic atmosphere.

Visit to Positano and Amalfi

In the morning, we will enjoy a private transfer to Positano. We will have a stroll downtown, through its little picturesque alleys, headed to the beach. After lunch, we will step on a hydrofoil and admire the Amalfi coastline from the sea, while reaching Amalfi Town. In the afternoon we will visit this coastal town popular for its scenic beauty. Free time in the afternoon to enjoy some shopping… or maybe lying down at the beach? In the evening a transfer will drive us back to Sorrento.

Transfer to Capri & Blue Grotto
AUG 9, 2023
Free Day in Capri. After breakfast, it is time to pack. We will make our way to the Marina of Sorrento with a private transfer. We will step on a hydrofoil and reach Capri.
During the rest of the day, do as you please: enjoy the vibrant centre of Capri at your own pace. Shopping, beach, gelato… you choose! An optional visit to the world-famous Blue Grotto can be arranged by your hosts for an extra fee.

Private Boat Ride around the island of Capri
AUG 10, 2023
After breakfast we will make our way to the marina. We will step on a private boat that will drive us around the island: we will have the opportunity to have a dip off the boat and splash in the crystalline waters of the bay. We will stop to enjoy lunch in a glamorous restaurant on the beach before making our way back on the island. Around the famous Piazzetta of Capri you will discover fashion streets and glamorous boutiques. In the late afternoon we enjoy aperitifs as we soak up the breathtaking scenery of Capri.

Private tour of Anacapri
AUG 11, 2023
After breakfast, a private car transfer will drive us to the highest municipality of the island, Anacapri. From Piazza Vittoria, you can reach Monte Solaro by chairlift and admire the enchanting 360-degree view of the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. You can then stroll through the picturesque streets of the center of Anacapri, full of local craft shops. Next, a visit to the Villa San Michele, “open to the sun, the wind and the sound of the sea …” built by the Swedish doctor and writer Axel Munthe.
We will enjoy lunch in Anacapri, before making our way back to Capri in the early afternoon.

Overnight in Metropolitan Naples
AUG 12, 2023
After breakfast, it is time to pack. With a private transfer we will make our way to the Marina. From there we will step on a hydrofoil and reach Naples.
We will make our way to the hotel and enjoy some free time to explore the area at our own pace.
In the afternoon, our private local tour guide will meet us in the lobby of the hotel for a private tour of Naples. We will visit famous landmarks of the Old Town of Naples, such as Spaccanapoli and the Spanish Quarters. The area is rich both in popular culture (San Gregorio Armeno and its street art being the symbol of the area) and historical landmarks, including many noteworthy churches and buildings.
In the evening, enjoy a complimentary Pizza dinner in the Old town: we will make sure you have a taste of the best South-Italian food on offer. Then we’ll take a walking tour of gay Naples hotspots by night!

Either transfer to Venice OR farewell

After breakfast we’ll either bid you farewell or if you’re coming with us on VACAYA’s Venice Cruise, we’ll take a private transfer to the airport as a group. We’ll embark on our flight to Venice, and from the airport you will be transferred to the port (nominal additional fee for this air/bus transfer). Then, onto your next adventure with VACAYA.
